9-12 inch high wing spoiler.

9-12 inch high wing designed to mimic the Toyota Supra factory wing. This spoiler has wide legs designed to flare out to the sides that can overlap the trunk lid for a racier look. Footings beneath the legs secure to the trunk lid and prevent the legs from touching the sides of the vehicle when the trunk lid is closed.(See Tech Tips for installing this type of spoiler). Comes with gaskets and mounting hardware. Universal fitment spoiler, and placement of wing varies with each vehicle. This spoiler has been test fitted for this vehicle. We recommend that you view the spoiler on your trunk lid before painting or installation to determine if it is to your liking. Spoilers are not returnable once painted or installed. This spoiler should not be used to replace any previously installed spoiler as the hole locations will not match.

Compare our Rear Wing Spoiler Styles:

Factory Style: Replica of OEM(Factory) issued spoiler.
For vehicles that have no existing spoiler. Should not be used to replace OEM installed spoiler as holes will not match.

Custom Style: Alternate choice to factory style, usually fits more than one vehicle.
Placement varies with each vehicle. Should not be used to replace OEM(Factory) installed spoiler as holes will not match.

Mid High Style: Usually 7-8 inches high. Fits more than one vehicle.
Placement varies with each vehicle. Should not be used to replace OEM(Factory) installed spoiler as holes will not match.

Thruster Style: Usually 6-7 inches high with longer legs than mid high style. Fits more than one vehicle.
Placement varies w/each vehicle. Should not be used to replace OEM(Factory) installed spoiler as holes will not match.

Supra Style: Usually 9-12 inches high. Fits more than one vehicle.
Placement varies with each vehicle. Should not be used to replace OEM(Factory) installed spoiler as holes will not match.

Universal Style: Designed to Universally fit many vehicles.
Wings with legs closer together in the middle will fit virtually all vehicles.
Wings with legs further apart will fit most vehicles with relatively flat and/or squared up trunk lid edges.

If trunk lid is arched, you will be limited to a universal spoiler that is curved, or choose a wing that has legs very close together. Sometimes use of extra gasket material under the legs will accommodate for any gaps due to arched trunk lids.

Measure trunk lid side to side. Bolt holes in spoiler should fall at least 1/4 inch from edges of trunk lid.
Tip-to-Tip measurements will give you total length of spoiler in relation to trunk lid plus rear quarter panels.
Leg-to-Leg measurements are more critical when the legs of the spoiler sit closer to each end-- the "foot" of each leg should fall within the trunk lid.

Q: I don't see an application listed for my vehicle. How can I get a spoiler?

If you don't see a spoiler listed for your vehicle, it may be that your model is older than our current application guides or that your vehicle's trunk lid is either too short or too curved for a wing to fit it. In most cases, if your trunk lid is relatively flat you should be able to use one of the spoilers listed in the Universals or Specialty Wings section. There you will see a schematic with measurements. You will need to make sure that the leg-to-leg measurements fit within your trunk lid measurements. If your trunk lid has some curvature, you may have to choose a spoiler with the legs that are closer together, like the Valeside style, Touring style wing or our Universal wing #WG902L.

Q: How do I know what spoilers fit my car? I see a photo of a spoiler you have on another car--will it fit mine?

We have carefully put together our catalog from applications that have been manufacturer tested. If you see an application listed for your vehicle, it means that it has been tested to fit for that vehicle. You may see a photo of the spoiler on your car, or you may see a photo of the actual spoiler shown on another car. That spoiler will fit on your vehicle--it's just that we do not have a photo of every kind of spoiler on top of every kind of car. So that is why we call it "custom" and have a caption under the photo that says, "Photo shows example of spoiler only. This spoiler applies to and will fit more than one vehicle model." If you do not see a particular spoiler listed for your vehicle, it most likely does not fit.

Q: Is it difficult to install a spoiler? How do you install the LED light?

The spoilers are easy to install. They come with sealing gaskets (sponge-like material) that stick to the bottom of the legs, and mounting bolts. Use the supplied drill guides as a template for you to drill holes in alignment with the legs of the spoiler. You then tighten the bolts down to secure the spoiler in place. (If you have an extra layer of sheet metal underneath your trunk lid, see my "Tip" on the next question below.) The LED is simple to install. Just attach the two wires to your third brake light wires. We have an installation demo on our web site you can view: https://www.customautotrim.com/install_videos/index.htm

Q: Are the mid high, supra high and specialty spoilers installed the same way?

Yes, they are. However, the installer must use his judgment in placing the spoiler. Because these type spoilers are universal, they will fit differently from vehicle to vehicle. The spoiler would still be centered from side to side, but you may need to move it more forward on the trunk lid, if needed, to accommodate fitment of the legs and/or holes. The legs or "pedestals" on these spoilers form a "V" shape and the outside tips may or may not extend past the trunk lid, depending on its width. The inside portion of the pedestals should fit inside the trunk area enough so the holes will be located at least 1/4" from the edges. On some vehicles you will have more room for the holes, on some you will have less. On some, the pedestals will fit more flush than others due to the shape of different trunk lids. The tips of the spoilers may be made to be raised in order to accommodate closing the trunk lid without banging against the quarter panels. ****TIP**** : Some trunk lids have an extra layer of sheet metal underneath. In this case, you will need to drill a wider hole underneath in that extra layer first. This will give you room to get your bolt driver in to tighten the bolts to the trunk lid. If you use a metal hole saw bit, it will leave a clean hole. If you want to cover it afterwards, you can use a plastic cap or a felt circle.(This technique is the same for some custom spoiler installations that have holes that align differently from a factory spoiler).

Q: I want to take my factory spoiler off and put on a different spoiler. Can I get a spoiler that matches the existing holes in my trunk lid?

It can be next to impossible to find an aftermarket spoiler with holes to match. If you are replacing your factory spoiler with a factory replica, I recommend that you get another spoiler from the factory. Most aftermarket factory style spoilers are made from the factory mold, but the holes may not be in the exact same spot. It's not critical if you never had a spoiler on there to begin with. However, trying to match holes is very difficult. If you want to replace your factory spoiler with a different type of spoiler, we recommend that you fill the old holes first. You may want to try to cover the old holes by using a spoiler with really wide pedestals, like the mid high or supra style spoiler. If the pedestals are wide enough to cover the old holes, you can use silicone and extra gasket material (found in any hardware store) to seal over the holes. You will still, however, need to drill new holes for the new pedestals because they will be in a different spot.

Q: You don't show a painted price on some spoilers? Can't I buy them painted?

Some of our larger spoilers like the supra and specialty wings are not sold painted. Generally there is a higher risk of paint damage in the shipping process on very large spoilers. Even the smallest nick in the paint from shipping would not be acceptable to us and we'd like to avoid any inconvenience to our customers. More importantly, being universal in type, we recommend test placing these spoilers to see if you like the way it looks on your vehicle before any prep or paint work. This will give you an opportunity to return the spoiler, if necessary.

    Rear Wing Spoiler Tech Tips:

    Basic Installation:
Spoilers come with sealing gaskets (sponge-like material) that stick to the bottom of the legs, and mounting bolts.
Use the supplied drill guides as a template for you to drill holes in alignment with the legs of the spoiler.
Tighten the bolts down to secure the spoiler in place.(If you have an extra layer of sheet metal underneath your trunk lid, see next Tip below.)
LED is simple to install. Just attach the two wires to your third brake light wires.

    Advanced Installation Tips:
Some trunk lids have an extra layer of sheet metal underneath. In this case, you will need to drill a wider hole underneath in that extra layer first. This will give you room to get your bolt driver in to tighten the bolts to the trunk lid. If you use a metal hole saw bit, it will leave a clean hole. If you want to cover it afterwards, you can use a plastic cap or a felt circle. (This technique is the same for some custom spoiler installations that have holes that align differently from a factory spoiler).

Mid High, Thruster and Supra wings are designed with upward curving outer legs and tips and will often fall beyond the trunk lid but will not touch the rear quarter panels when closed. The installer must use his judgment in placing the spoiler. Because these type spoilers are universal, they will fit differently from vehicle to vehicle. The spoiler would still be centered from side to side, but you may need to move it more forward on the trunk lid, if needed, to accommodate fitment of the legs and/or holes. The legs or pedestals on these spoilers form a *V* shape and the outside tips may or may not extend past the trunk lid, depending on its width. The inside portion of the pedestals should fit inside the trunk area enough so the holes will be located at least 1/4 inch from the edges. On some vehicles you will have more room for the holes, on some you will have less. On some, the pedestals will fit more flush than others due to the shape of different trunk lids.

Tech Tips for Universal-Fit Type Spoilers:
Wings with legs closer together in the middle will fit virtually all vehicles.
Wings with legs further apart will fit most vehicles with relatively flat and/or squared up trunk lid edges.
If trunk lid is arched, you will be limited to a universal spoiler that is curved, or choose a wing that has legs very close together. Sometimes use of extra gasket material under the legs will accomodate for any gaps due to arched trunk lids.

Measure trunk lid side to side. Bolt holes in spoiler should fall at least 1/4 inch from edges of trunk lid.
Tip-to-Tip measurements will give you total length of spoiler in relation to trunk lid plus rear quarter panels.
Leg-to Leg measurements are more critical when the legs of the spoiler sit closer to each end -- the *foot* of each leg should fall within the trunk lid.

In June 2015, I purchased the vinyl insert trim from Custom Auto Trim.

I have a 1965 Ford GT Mustang that has the channel molding with the vinyl insert trim on the side [body] panels, which was a dealer option in 1965. The vinyl insert trim was original, faded and perished. After a frustrating search I was unable to source the vinyl insert trim in Australia and found Custom Auto Trim [CustomAutoTrim.com] had the same style. The Custom Auto vinyl insert [Part# INSERT] was a perfect fit slotting in the original aluminium channel molding and now the car looks fantastic.

Your service was fast and the communication was excellent. I have attached a few pictures of the before and after just so you can see the difference and how fantastic your trim looks on this 50 yr old vehicle. I just wanted to let you folks know how pleased I am with my new spoiler and with the experience of buying from you. Two days after placing the order one of your employees called me at home because the paint code I gave didn't match the name of the color. He spent a few minutes on the phone with me helping me find the correct code on the car and explained how things work with painting plastic parts. I was very impressed at that. Customer service means a lot to me and your folks went above and beyond the call of duty. I received the spoiler today via UPS and was very pleased with the packaging and the paint is a dead perfect match! I ordered the unpainted molding [MDG145 UNF ] as you suggested and my local Ford dealership painted it to match my Sport Trac and installed the molding...it looks great, in fact Ford should produce the Sport Trac with this "look", it actually enhanced the appearance of my truck.

I cannot believe that not only did you acknowledge my question from a prior email, but a young lady called me minutes ago to inform me of the status of this order. Not only am I impressed with your customer service, but considering you are an internet based company, the mere fact that you called tells me that you are customer oriented. Any time that I need an accessory or whatever, that can be purchased thru your company, I will buy it from you. Brand loyalty...........well, try company loyalty, for you earned a life long client.

Here is photo of my Grandson's 1985 S 10 Blazer that I put the graphic kit on. Was it easy, no but then tell me when anything easy is worth a hoot. Did require a few extra miller lites. When I saw the look in my Grandson's eyes, when he first saw it, I knew it was all worth it! Thanks for a great kit.

I was extremely pleased with my order. I placed the order on Sunday night and received the order on Wednesday night. I thought this was extremely quick coming from the West Coast to the East Coast. My neighbor is the manager of an auto body shop and he was complementing the quality of the airbrushed vinyl graphics I purchased. I enjoy watching heads turn as I drive by. Even after a month, I still smile every time I see my truck with the new graphics on. I've enclosed a couple of pictures of my truck. Pic 1 Pic 2

Suzanne: I would like to take a moment to thank you for convincing me to purchase the wood grain kit for my Hyundai Santa Fe. My overwhelming apprehensions regarding the installation were easily put to rest after I finished the project. It really was not difficult but definitely detailed and time consuming. The job came out great and looks like a factory finish. Your company also needs a round of applause for expediting the order. I'm not sure where else one could get better service on the Internet. The kit was ordered on January 24th and received at my doorstep on the 25th… I will look forward to dealing with you in the future.

Hi. Just a quick note: I installed my Wood Trim package on my 2000 Olds Alero dash, doors, etc. After very careful prep (Which I know is of most importance because I am in the business of epoxy coating supply), it took me about 45 minutes to install the various pieces. I started with the simplest piece and worked my way up to the more intricate piece which went around the radio, AC, etc. controls in the center of the console. I am happy to say that it came out quite well, and it really gives the interior of my Alero that luxurious, custom look. People who have seen it, think it came from the factory with the wood trim. I am very pleased with it. Thanks for offering such a well made package, with very clear and concise instructions.

You may want to visit the site and see what I am talking about. I am enclosing the picture I took of the kit installed in my car you may like to use it to help your Alero customers see how nicely this particular installation looks. Pic 1 Pic 2
