I need to replace the automatic gear box of my MAZDA 626 of 1991. Can you propose me a second hand gear box and at which price ?

hi,
i bought a 1991 mazda 626, this car has a 4 cilinder 2.2 engine (ford) engine in it .
my question is , Where does ford come in here? wat is the relation with ford and mazda? or did the previous owner just put a ford engine in my car?
The car drives great though.
