Tips for Choosing a Loading Ramp:

Select a loading ramp that is at least as wide as the distance of your outside tire-to-tire to accomodate the full width of the tires. On single runner ramps, choose a ramp that is at least as wide as your tire. Choose a ramp with the appropriate load rating for the item to be loaded.
Length of ramp guideline is to have at least 2.2 inches of ramp length to each inch of truck bed height (i.e. 2.2 x height inches). For a lesser steep grade, choose a longer ramp to be safe.

Example: Truck bed height of 30 inches: 2.2" x 30" = 66 " ramp length minimum.

Smaller size pickup can usually use a standard size ramp, such as 71". If loading into a higher full-size truck, select a longer ramp such as 81" or longer.

Recommendations:

Lawn & Garden Tractors: Arched ramps provide adequate clearance of the mowing deck. Choose arched runners or folding arched ramps. Folding ramps provide easier storage options.

ATV Loading Ramps: Runners, bifold or tri-fold ramps work well. Runners allow you flexible choice of spacing apart to load a variety of items. Folding ramps allow easier storage.
