It is a combination of fiberglass weave material and special resin products. This combination gives the product more durability and more flexible properties. It will also be more forgiving during installation because of the added flexibility, gives it increased strength, lighter weight, a smoother surface which translates into better fitment, easier installations and less prep time if comparing to other manufacturers of Acura Integra body kits and accessories. AIT Body Kits Installation Information

AIT Racing body kits, as are most all body kits on the market are designed as aftermarket, non factory parts and are recommended for show purposes only. All of our AIT body kits, bumpers and side skirts are made of high quality hand layed fiberglass (PFRP), and are gel coated for easier paint preperation, ready to be prepped, primed and painted. All Acura body kits and ground effects come with wire mesh if applicable to that part. Extra wire mesh is also available.

All fiberglass Integra body kits will need some sort of modification such as filling in gaps, holes or cracks. The nature of their style may also call for slight modifications to the stock vehicle such as the removal of factory bumpers and supports. This is normal. After fitting your body kit in place, the fiberglass then can be filled and finish sanded to smooth out and get ready for paint.

Many body shops can install aftermarket Integra car accessories, however most are used to installing factory parts only, and may not be experienced in the custom fitting and modification process needed when installing aftermarket body kits. For this reason, we don't recommend small collision repair shops or car dealerships to do fiberglass body kit installations. These shops are usually more much experienced in the installation of OEM (factory) Acuraaccessories that are direct bolt-on, and the type of shop that we would recommend for you is a custom body shop - one that installs fiberglass body kits on a daily basis. Make sure to choose a body shop based on referrals and see examples of their finished work. If you have any questions at all regarding fitment, all of our manufacturers offer technical support.
