Lambo Door Automated Upgrade Package

Lambo Door Automated Upgrade Package

Lots of people are converting the doors on their cars or trucks to a style similar to those found on a Lamborghini. They like the way the Lamborghini doors open, and they are able to lift them up in the air like a scissor hinge, also sometimes referred to as gullwing doors. These lambo hinges are commonly referred to in the industry as a Lambo Hinge Kits.

Most lambo hinge kits are manually operated, meaning that to operate the door you will need to pull the door handle yourself, pulling towards you and then lifting the door up yourself. The door does open easily if the hinges are installed properly because there are gas assisted struts installed with the lambo kit that will assist in the raising and lowering of the doors.

However, some people want a fully automated Lambo Kit, whereas you are able to just push a button and have your doors automatically open and raise or lower all by themselves.

Usually it takes a custom shop or restoration shop to install this type of installation because it sometimes requires welding. But if you want your lambo doors to be fully automatic, then this is what you will most likely need to get the job done right:

  1. Two Linear Actuators – These are the motors that will raise and lower your door.
  2. Shaved Door Handle Kit - This is the device that will operate your handles for you.
  3. Two Door Poppers - These are spring loaded devices that will push your door out from the door jam once opened.
  4. Keyless Entry System - This must have a minimum of 6 channels available.
  5. Miscellaneous brackets and hardware.

Once installed the automated lambo door kit should work like this:
By pushing a pre-programmed button on your remote, you will activate the shaved door handle kit, thus releasing the door from the latch. At the same time the door popper pushes the door out of the jam. Then, pushing another button will activate the linear actuator and raise the door for you.

If the door is now up, you can push a button on the remote and fully lower the door. The only manual part in this operation is that you will need to push or pull the doors back into the closed and latched position. There are no automated lambo door kits available on the market as of today that will reach out and pull the door in for you.

Many companies sell parts separately, but you will find a much better deal on the internet if you can just buy the automated lambo kits in a package. Customautotrim.com provides packages like this for you. Buying a lambo hinge conversion package will no doubt save you money, as well as saving you from a headache in trying to locate all of these parts yourself.

There are lots of parts required to make these lambo kits operational, and I really again advise that only a professional shop do this installation for you as they are complicated to install. This is not a job that you want to do yourself at home in your driveway. This job is for a professional only.

How Can I Tell if the Vehicle I Am Buying Has Been in the Body Shop?

Wednesday, June 25th, 2008

Buying a car or truck as you already know is a big investment. For some of us who don’t own our own house, it is most likely our largest investment. So when we shop for that used car or truck it is natural that we we want to know about the vehicle we are getting. Has it been in an accident? Were there any major repairs done to the vehicle?

These are important questions. A used car dealer may know the history of the vehicle, but most of the time the cars and trucks that you see on a local car dealer lot come from auctions and your dealer will not know the history. At least half of the time you trade in your vehicle it will end up at a dealer auction. And MOST of the time you turn in your leased vehicle it will end up at auction. So how are we supposed to know what happened to this vehicle that we are eying? What am I getting into here?

Can I Tie My Body Kit Into a Knot??

Thursday, April 3rd, 2008

Why would someone take the time to send me that question I’ll never know. That said, rather than sending an email reply I thought I’d post it instead. There must be lots of other drivers out there that probably want to tie their body kits into a knot too. Surely there is absolutely nothing else to do, so lets try it..

It turns out that in some instances it is quite possible to do so without harming the part depending on the body kit part that you are working with, and it would obviously depend on the knot. So can I tie it into a:

 - Square Knot?   – NO
 - Figure Eight?   – NO
 - Overhand? – Well, read on…

What’s Wrong with my Trunk Light?

Friday, September 22nd, 2006

Hi again, my fellow auto fanatics. Thanks for taking a moment out of your day to visit with us and see what is going on in AUTOMEGA® world. So, with the Autumn Equinox in September this year, we’ve got less than a week to go until the official end of summer. Although I know it probably felt like the end of summer as soon as you finished that last Labor day long weekend. Did you know that the ancient Greeks celebrated this time of year (the Equinox, not Labor day, in case you were wondering) with huge festivals in honor of the upcoming harvests? And while we know there probably aren’t many of you prepping for a harvest, and we don’t actually have a festival, we do have some great end-of-summer savings we’d like to pass on to you.

Has My Car Been in the Body Shop Before?

Friday, January 6th, 2006

Happy New Year! Well, we made it through another one, huh? Let’s see…we’re a few weeks in now. That means, essentially, that the year is still “new” enough to legitimately wish someone a “Happy New Year”, but enough days have passed that the majority of us have already thrown all resolutions right out the window. You know, since all New Year’s resolutions seem to get broken so quickly maybe next year we should resolve to exercise less and eat more junk food. Who knows, it could work.

All right, I suppose I have to congratulate the Panthers and the Patriots in winning their conference championships. Please note that I don’t necessarily want to, but I have to. I would rather be congratulating the Eagles, but clearly that just isn’t going to happen. Instead, the Eagles get the dubious honor of losing three straight conference championships for the first time since the Cowboys held the record with their 1980-83 streak. Remind me again why I continue to watch football…

Anyway, well you all have been just going about your business, enjoying the whole 2005 vibe, we here at CustomAutoTrim.com have been burning the midnight oil getting some new deals cooking up for you on the site.

Removing Rear Window Tint

Did you know the first day of Spring is less than a month away? March 20th to be exact. Does it feel like it yet? Ha! Probably not to many of our subscribers who are living in the tundra—I mean the northeast. That’s right, ladies and gentlemen, good old Mother Nature has taken the opportunity this winter to pick us up by the ears and toss us around a few times, but rest assured that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Eventually (alright, maybe not by March 20th) you’ll start to see things melt and you’ll once again be able to pack away your jackets and take off your snow tires. You’ve probably already started to notice the days getting a little longer and maybe it’s even still light out when you get home from work in the evening. Beautiful isn’t it. Before you know it, it’ll be warm enough and light enough for you to start spending some good old fashioned quality time with your car after work, and we’ve got a few products that we’d highly recommend for breaking you (and your car) out of the winter doldrums.

Nothing says spring has sprung like some hot new ground effects or a saucy new spoiler. Or hook yourself up with our vinyl flame graphics, but be warned—these babies are so sizzling they might just melt the snow right off your car! All these things and more can be found at CustomAutoTrim.com. And find out the latest site news below in our Blog section. Hey, while you’re at it, be sure to take advantage of our coupon for extra special savings.
